Collaborations

There are some brilliant people working in our neighbourhoods and for the benefit of our communities. We love to team up and work collaboratively. Together we can do more!

Friends of Dawberry Fields Park

The fabulous small but impactful Friends group at our park give their time to make the park a better places for everyone to enjoy. They run litter picking, conservation and other events that you are invited to. Why not become a ‘Friend’ yourself.

We are working with this fab group on the Planter Power project to add new areas of wildflower meadows in the park.

Neighbourhood Network Scheme

This is a brilliant scheme run by Birmingham City Council across the city to invest in communities at a grass roots level, funding and giving support to small groups to run activities specifically for the over 50s age group. The aim of the scheme is to help people in the lead up to and in retirement to build their social connections, be active and stay independent in their own homes for longer, leading happier and healthier lives. One of their priority areas to increase social participation is Brandwood.

The team at Selly Oak NNS are collaborating with us and part-funding the ‘Understanding Brandwood’ project.

The Patchwork Meadow

The Patchwork Meadow is a small Birmingham charity that started in North Edgbaston during the first lockdown. Their aim is to brighten up local neighbourhoods, bring back the pollinators and support people to connect with others in their community. They believe that if we all plant pocket meadows in window-boxes, pots, hanging baskets and our gardens, on streets and in grass verges, together we can create a huge green space, a ‘Patchwork Meadow’ across the city.

We are working with this fab group on the Planter Power project.

We’ll add more to the list as new projects take shape!
