Pallet to Planter Workshop – for the over 50s

28 February 2022 @ 10:30 am - 12:15 pm

A fun and practical session where we work together to transform recycled pallet wood into planters using hand tools. The planters will also need weather proofing, lining and painting!

Please check before coming along for the first time that there are places still on this workshop. Email: team@ourscene.org  Call Suze on: 07726 230798

As part of a team you will learn how to build a simple planter with Andy, and Suze will have the kettle on! This activity session is as much about drinking tea and chatting as it is about using DIY skills – and a hot drink and biscuits are included in the cost of the workshop.

No experience needed. Full instruction given and tools and materials provided. Places limited to ten on each workshop.

The finished planters will be distributed around Brandwood streets and adopted by local residents – maybe you could adopt one in your front driveway? They will have wildflower meadows planted in them – ready to bloom this summer.

This workshop is part of the Planter Power project which aims to brighten up Brandwood, improve the environment and connect our communities. It is for men and women, aged 50 or over who live in one of the Brandwood neighbourhoods.

The project is funded by Selly Oak Neighbourhood Network Scheme.
